Gardening expert Charlie Dimmock is set to return with a brand new television show, according to reports.
The green-fingered star is said to be in the early stages of developing a new gardening show, which is set to air on the BBC.
Charlie first rose to fame on the garden makeover programme Ground Force alongside professional gardener Alan Titchmarsh and celebrity builder Tommy Walsh.
The hit BBC show, which saw the 42-year-old make people’s dream garden become a reality, was originally broadcast from 1997 to 2005 and was met with great praise from fans.
Speaking about the potential new programme, a source said: “Charlie is without doubt one of the biggest names in the gardening world and was part of an era when garden landscaping became unmissable TV.
“She is a green-fingered legend and everyone is very excited to have her back on prime-time telly,” the insider added to The Sun newspaper.
Landscape architects Harry and David Rich are said to be joining Charlie on the new programme.
The general concept of the show is thought to be similar to Ground Force, as it will see Charlie and her team revolutionise viewers’ gardens, however they will only have a minimal budget to work with.
Despite being absent from television since Ground Force last aired ten years ago, the BBC are hoping Charlie will encourage the nation to become interested in gardening again.
