Garden designer Ann-Marie Powell is delighted to be designing the RHS’s official ‘Health, Happiness and Horticulture Garden’ at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2016.
Ann-Marie Powell Gardens is a leading UK garden design studio, based in the Hampshire countryside.
It was established in 1999 and has a large portfolio of projects from private to commercial clients, including children’s hospice gardens with the charity Greenfingers and schools.
Ann-Marie has established herself within the industry, winning Gold awards at RHS Chelsea in 2010 and Hampton Court in 2015.
She is also a well-known TV gardener presenter, journalist and author.
Ann-Marie is looking to inspire everyone to make their front garden beautiful, as part of the RHS Greening Grey Britain campaign.
She said: “We couldn’t feel more passionate about this campaign. These days, so many front gardens in the UK are paved over for parking, but it doesn’t have to be this way.
“I want future generations to be proud of their front gardens and be encouraged to go on and make their own.
“I’d love to see roads lined with plants, to be enjoyed by front garden owners, passers-by, whole communities and wildlife.
“Of course, there are the environmental benefits to consider too.”
The RHS garden is designed to demonstrate to the public what can be achieved in a small space, for ease of inspiration we’ve split the garden into sections.
It is promoting the health and happiness that can be achieved through gardening. Scientific research is finally available to back up what we gardeners have known for years.
Ann-Marie will be working with The Outdoor Room, London Stone and Hortus Loci again, building on their success at Hampton Court Flower Show in 2015.
