Claire Austin has announced that she will be opening the Claire Austin Hardy Plants nursery and her private perennial gardens to the public for two days this summer: Saturday 04 June and Thursday 16 June 2016.
Entry to the nursery in the idyllic rural location of Sarn near Montgomery in mid-Wales will be free. Visitors will be invited to wander amongst the National Plant Collections of Bearded Irises and Herbaceous Perennials andΒ the stunning perennial borders Β in Claireβs private garden, which she transformed from an open, sloping field of grass just five years ago.
Claire and her team will be on hand to give expert plant advice, and visitors will be free to select and purchase potted plants straight from the mail-order nursery beds.
Signed copies of her book βClaire Austinβs Book of Perennialsβ will be on sale during the Open Days. The book, which was named βReference Book of the Yearβ in the Garden Media Guild Awards 2015, features 900 photographs taken by Claire in her gardens and on the nursery.
Light refreshments will be on sale.
