Yorkshire-based landscape contractor Paxman Landscapes has scooped three golds in a row, as itΒ once again took home the golden accolade for itsΒ family-themed garden at this yearβs Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
As a family-run company itself, the theme grew from an obvious partnership choice of the Association of Professional Landscapers, representing accredited landscapers across the UK. Between them, they brought the βMy Familyβ garden creation to life over the past two weeks.
The teams were also supported by a number of landscape suppliers including Natural Paving, Jacksons Fencing, Kadai Firebowls, JA Jones Nurseries and Cozy Bay Furniture, ensuring continued show success for the popular landscaping experts.

Paxman Landscapes won Gold at the Autumn Show in 2015 and have matched last yearβs Spring Show performance where their Yorkshire Rooftop garden also achieved Gold status
The landscaping teams slaved over the garden build through wind and rain but were rewarded with golden sunshine to accompany their Gold Award during the event which took place at the Great Yorkshire Showground from 21-24 April 2016.Β Β The design and concept was devisedΒ in partnership with the Association of Professional Landscapers, a family in itself, representing all that is great in UK landscaping.
With family values at its core, the garden was inspired by family mealtimes and flowed from the garden dining area, cushioned by a green wall backdrop.Β After dinner, the family could retire to the informal log seating area around the fire pit, keeping a-glow and sharing stories of the dayβs toils.Β The garden was framed by a beautiful crescent of herbaceous perennials, grasses and bulbs in purples, whites and blues and was punctuated by amelanchier trees in full blossom.
Justin Paxman once again paved the way to success and was both proud and elated about the show gardenβs success and the Gold Award.Β He was also rewarded by a visit from his own Paxman family on VIP Day.Β βMy family –Β the centrepoint of any successful business and the most important partnership and team there is. Thank you to them for their support and to all our show partners this year.β
Phil Tremayne national business manager of the Association of Professional Landscapers added: βWorking with Justin was a natural extension of our activities in the APL family. Β The APL is the cornerstone of British landscaping β where everyone involved in landscaping can share, collaborate, learn and grow together.Β Itβs been a great opportunity to showcase this to the public at Harrogate again this year and to create a show garden with its family foundations and theme.β
