Yes, June could be all about voting. We know there are bigger and more important concerns in that ‘other’ vote, but we’re campaigning for something close to our hearts: your votes for the six nominated plants for this year’s Favourite Office Plant of the Year.
Every year efig members or suppliers nominate plants to fight for this accolade. Votes are accepted from members, website and social media followers and visitors via efig’s website.
The list is narrowed down to the top three plants which then face a day of scrutiny by an independent panel of judges who will name the winner.
Which plants?
The top three plants will face the red – or should that be green – carpet in July when their success will be announced at the start of National Plants at Work Week 11- 15 July.
This year’s list of plants waiting for your votes include the stately Pachira, the strange Stags Horn Fern (Platycerium bifurcatum), the structural Zamioculcas, the tumbling Rhipsalis, the upright Euphorbia tiracalli and the many coloured Peperomia.
The criteria to consider are: which ones make you feel good, help you to relax and are easy to look after.
So which one gets your vote? To take part please go to efig’s website which is listed below and vote by Friday 24th June.
Judging at the end of June
The judges will meet at the end of this month to make their decisions. The panel includes Matthew Appleby, Jim & Lisa Wilkinson, Claudia de Yong, Rona Wheeldon and two overseas judges who will vote by email: Joe Zazzara and Kathy Fediw.
