Due to a lack of secured funding, garden designers Frederic Whyte and Darran Jaques have cancelled their planned garden for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016. The Perennial Giving Garden was designed to raise awareness of the only trade charity dedicated to helping all horticulturists in need and highlight the importance of gifts in wills. The garden was a collaboration between designers Frederic Whyte and Darran Jaques, Living Landscapes, London Stone, Clear Water Revival and Harrod Horticultural.
Speaking about the decision to cancel the garden, Frederic Whyte said:Β βIt is with profound regret that we have had to make the decision not to go ahead with this garden. We hope to be back at the show in the future and are committed to continuing to help Perennial raise awareness of its services for all horticulturists.β
Commenting about the project, Perennial Development Manager Laura Garnett said:Β βWe were all very excited about the possibility of collaborating on what was a wonderful garden design for this yearβs RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. However, we have a duty of care to all those involved and we fully support Freddy and Darranβs decision to cancel the garden for this yearβs show.β
