Green and Clean Landscapes lends a helping hand to school in Cardiff that was low on funds, redesigning their garden into a “muddy kitchen area” ready for the summer.

Green and Clean Landscapes is a Landscape design company based in Cardiff, South Wales.  Owner Sean McCarthy has recently, helped out a school in Cardiff that was low on funds to redesign their garden for the children for a “muddy kitchen area” ready for the summer.

Ysgol gymraeg Glan Ceubal is a school local to Sean and holds a special place in his heart, as his son who has Autism ‘Sean Jr’ was a pupil there.

Last year Mr McCarthy provided their summer wheelbarrow for a yearly competition held in Cardiff Castle, but this year he went one step further.

Providing four members of staff, all materials and labour free of charge, Mr McCarthy and his team started work on Friday after school had ended and had the job finished ready for the children and staff on Monday morning.

Working all through the weekend the team created a gorgeous muddy play area for the children to use. Head teacher Mrs Ford, staff and all the children were absolutely thrilled with the transformation.

Mrs Ford wrote on the Green and Clean Landscape’s Facebook page thanking them: “Diolch Green & Clean Landscapes for donating your time and materials. Our school garden looks fantastic!!”

When interviewed Mr McCarthy stated that while his son attended Ysgol gymraeg Glan Ceubal  “they went above and beyond in their care for his son”, so he wanted to give something back.
