It’s a new financial year for efig with some exciting prospects on the way. First up, we are pleased to report that the status quo has been established for another year. The efig committee has been re-elected with the exception of last year’s treasurer.

Chris Jenkin, chairman of Enterprise Plants continues in his role as Chairman of efig: “We have some exciting new plans for efig which we will be rolling out over this next year.

“The current global uncertainty does, I believe, mean that the need for a dynamic focus for all our endeavours is much greater. We all must work smarter and organise ourselves to present a strong case for the benefits and necessity of having plants in the indoor environment. By working together, we can present this case more forcefully and with greater conviction than as individuals and show what great improvements we can bring to any working environment.”

Chris has nominated the Chairman’s Charity this year as the www.worldlandtrust.org.

Jimmy Gilchrist, MD of GP Plantscapes, remains as Vice Chair and Carole Pluckaard of Koberg bv as Membership Secretary. Kenneth Freeman of Ambius and William Braid, MD of Plant Designs, London remain as committee members. Joanna Hargreaves of efig will take on the role of ‘acting treasurer’.

National Plants at Work Week

The first efig activity of the new year is National Plants at Work Week taking place from 10 – 14 July. During this week efig and its members will kick-start the year with Chris Jenkin’s words in mind, reminding everyone about the necessity for having plants in the workplace.

Nieuwkoop-Europe bv, suppliers to the industry are kindly sponsoring the campaign.
