Matthew Wells, Urban Forester at the City of Santa Monica, California, and formerly a London tree officer, is to lead a seminar entitled “From Camden to New York to Santa Monica – An Urban Forester’s Unique Experience” on Thursday, 14 September 2017 at the Cambridgeshire nursery of Barcham Trees.

Prior to his Santa Monica appointment, Matthew was director of Tree Preservation in New York City, where he was closely involved in the Million Trees initiative to plant that number within a decade throughout the city, where the London plane is the most widely planted species at present.

Announcing the seminar, Barcham’s Keith Sacre said he was delighted that Matthew Wells had found time to offer what should be an informative and fascinating day to tree care professionals in the UK.

The seminar is free-of-charge and includes breakfast and lunch. To book a place, please e-mail Natasha Hutchison natasha@barchamtrees.co.uk
