RoSPA Award

As one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the business world, RoSPA Health and Safety Award winners are recognised as world-leaders in health and safety practice.

Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants compete to achieve the highest possible award in the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.

Established in 1956, the RoSPA offers organisations or businesses a great opportunity to benchmark safety performance year on year and ensure consistent performance between sites.

In addition, the award also provides an effective chance to demonstrate ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: β€œThe RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.”

Among the winners were landscape and maintenance contractor, Ground Control, and horticulture, landscape and national grounds maintenance company, Nurture Landscapes.

Angelina Sooren, health and safety director, Ground Control, said: β€œA huge well done to every member of the Ground Control family who has contributed to us winning the eleventh consecutive RoSPA gold award.”

β€œTogether we seek to achieve an environment that is healthy, safe and injury-free – and the last 18 months have been extremely challenging for everyone in our industry.”

β€œOur HSQE infrastructure has been aligned closely with our growing business, and we are continually improving our systems to support our people successfully. Our vision is found on a desire to care for our environment, people and customers, and as we look towards the future, we will continually raise standards and inspire others. The hard work does not stop here. Here’s to the 12th award!”

Peter Fane, chief executive office at Nurture Landscapes, said: β€œMany congratulations to Robin Jackson, our health & safety manager, and his team. It is a great testament to their continued diligence and hard work that we can continue achieving Gold Medal status, especially in these challenging times. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments in keeping us safe on a daily basis.”
