The winners of the National Landscape Awards have been announced, with 79 accolades going out to 56 members across 24 categories.

Run by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), it follows a summer of site visits to the UK based entries and three days of debate by the judges.

Assisting with the deliberations were BALI chief executive Wayne Grills and events project manager Emily Feeney.

β€œThese schemes, and our members, showcase meticulous attention to detail, innovative design, and a profound respect for the natural environment,” says Grills.

β€œEach project reflects the highest standards of the craft, resulting in landscapes that are both beautiful and enduring.

β€œThe dedication, endeavour and skill of the teams behind these winning entries are truly commendable, making this year’s winners a standout in the industry.”

Among the winners were George Davies Turf and Stone, who won two awards in the Supplier Exceptional Service and Employer Excellence categories.

George Davies, founder and managing director says: β€œWe strive to be the best in what we do, whilst being accountable and having a positive impact on the future of our industry, and these awards are testament to our passion, dedication and absolute determination to continually deliver the best possible service to our customers whilst supporting and developing the exceptional team that make up the George Davies Turf and Stone family.”

The Garden Company, led by James Scott, was also honoured in the form of a prestigious Design Excellence Award, which recognises the exceptional quality of a recent residential design-and-build project in Hertfordshire.

Scott says: “We are delighted to receive this Design Excellence Award from BALI. It is a wonderful acknowledgment of our commitment to creating bespoke outdoor spaces where people truly enjoy spending their time.

“We extend our thanks to our fantastic suppliers – London Stone, Stark and Greensmith, Island Stone and Nederhoff Plants – and everybody that worked on the project.”

The ceremony for the awards will be held in London on 6 December, and this year’s host is award-winning comedian, actor and writer Aurie Styla.

The level of quality and complexity of many of the schemes entered highlighted the commitment of members to continue driving the industry forward, while increasingly considering the environmental impact.

Head judge, John Melmoe says: β€œEach of this year’s National Landscape Award winners exemplifies outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

β€œThe attention to detail in these schemes is truly remarkable, with every element thoughtfully executed to create cohesive and inspiring outdoor spaces.

β€œTo win any award at this level, with such a high standard of vetting in place, is a true testament for any business or individual that receives one.”
