British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) has appointed a new national chair and vice-chair, alongside five new board directors.
They were elected at BALI’s AGM, which took place yesterday during the GroundsFest exhibition.
Adrian Wickham will succeed Tessa Johnstone as national chair and thanked her for the energy she gave to the role, while Matt Nokes has been appointed as vice-chair.
With five places available for the board the group say they were βoverwhelmedβ with the level of interest and nominees.
The resulting winners included Alistair Bayford, managing director at Frosts Landscapes Construction, Kersten Catella, sales and marketing director at Wyevale and Mark Gregory, managing director at Landform Consultants.
Rounding off the new board members are Paul Lynch, managing director at Elmtree Garden Contractors and David Twist, founder and CEO of Elite Landscapes.
Wayne Grills, BALI chief executive, says: “On behalf of the board directors and the team at Landscape House, I would like to welcome our new board directors to the team, and look forward to working with them to support the delivery of our ambitious strategy and to continue to drive industry forward.
βI would also like to take the opportunity to thank Tessa Johnstone for her commitment and support to BALI during her time as national chair.”
Bali also extended its thanks to Shazna Ali, Tim Howell, Stuart Simpson, the three board members who have stepped down this year.
