RHS Malvern Spring Festival is set to debut the first RHS-judged indoor show gardens, as it returns to Three Counties Showground next year.
The indoor show gardens, never before seen at Malvern, leads the way in recognising the versatility of plants and ways we can incorporate them into our lives, even when outdoor green space may not be available.
Creative ways of using indoor plants will be showcased, encouraging visitors to consider the various ways horticulture can be enjoyed indoors.Β
TheyΒ will be scrutinised by a panel of horticultural experts and RHS judges to crown the first RHS gold medal-winning indoor show garden.
Jane Edwards, head of shows & marketing at Three Counties Showground, says: βLocated in the dedicated Festival of Houseplants area, these Indoor Show Gardens aim to demonstrate that plants are accessible to all and everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of them, even when planting in outdoor green space isnβt an option.
βThe Indoor Show Gardens will demonstrate that indoor spaces can be aesthetically transformed by the incorporation of houseplants.
βThey will also show that houseplants can be a reliable way to enjoy horticulture year-round and, unlike outdoor planting, itβs not weather-dependent.β
The show, from 8-11 May next year, will kick-off the RHS Floral Show season for 2025 with a brand-new theme: Plants & People.
Organisers have confirmed that the 2025 festival some of the countryβs best-known expert horticulturalists and TV gardening personalities, including Alan Titchmarsh MBE and the crowning of the very first RHS-medal-winning gardens of the year.
The theme for 2025βs festival invites both new and returning visitors to explore the myriad of ways in which plants impact our lives – from the food we eat and the air we breathe, to the impact they have on our mental and physical wellbeing.
Visitors will be able to listen to talks from horticultural experts on subjects including sustainable gardening and accessible plant care, gardening for wellbeing and ways to incorporate plants into your everyday life.
Cultivation to consumption and soil to plate are topics that will also be explored and complemented by foodie workshops and talks from some of the UKβs top TV and restaurant chefs.
This yearβs festival theme celebrates the notion that tending to plants is as much about nurturing ourselves and our communities as it is about caring for our planet.
