A new Bluetooth speaker has joined Makita’s growing range of battery-powered products.
The MR014G XGT/LXT Jobsite Speaker – which is powered by Makita’s 18V LXT or 40VMax XGT batteries, or AC mains power – can be connected via Bluetooth or AUX.
It’s communicable up to 100m and is guaranteed up to 30m, with a True Wireless Stereo function allowing it to be connected to up to 10 compatible speakers for wider coverage.
It has 1.8 times higher sound pressure levels than previous models as well as an equaliser to adjust the sound, a 140mm woofer and a 40mm tweeter to deliver 20W. The maximum volume is 99dB(A).
The carry handle doubles as a smartphone stand, and there’s a built-in microphone amplifier for making announcements.
A USB port enables mobile charging for other devices and a built-in LED decorative light can be set to blink in time to the music.
“We are thrilled to launch our new cordless speaker that joins a growing line up of diverse products that complement our power tool range – spanning site lights, microwaves, kettles, heated jackets and more,” says Makita UK’s marketing manager, Kevin Brannigan.
