As we entered the final third of the year, Alistair Bayford shared his enthusiasm for taking over as managing director of Frosts Landscapes this year in our Public Spaces Special. 

September marked a major milestone for our Pro Landscaper 30 Under 30 initiative, in association with Green-tech, as we announced the winners of this year, bringing the total number of alumni to 300 – we also caught up with past winner, Christina Cobb. 

Our September 2024 issue heard from freelance designer, Noel Kingsbury, as he delved into what large trees have to offer our cities. 

The month also saw Tivoli release its first sustainability report, as well as Defra publishing further guidance on meeting BNG requirements.

While Nina Baxter gave an insight into her first year as director of the London College of Garden Design, and the host of this year’s Land-based and Environment Learner of the Year Awards, Danny Clark shared his unique pathway into horticulture.

And by no means least the shortlisted finalists for the SGD Awards 2025 were revealed.
