St Leonard’s Hospice in York is the charity of choice for Green-tech this year. The landscaping materials supplier aims to raise more than £1,000 through various fundraising events and initiatives for the local charity throughout 2025.
Green-tech’s deputy team leader Chris Cross chose St Leonard’s Hospice as one which “holds a special place in my family’s hear” after the charity – which provides care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses in York and North Yorkshire – looked after his father-in-law in his last few months.
“Their hard work is appreciated, offering comfort and care during life’s most difficult moments. I am proud to support them throughout 2025 and look forward to raising as much as possible to give a little back and help make a difference,” says Cross.
St Leonard’s is marking its 40th anniversary this year. Corporate partnerships development fundraiser Annie Keogh says Green-tech’s “efforts and commitment will help us to continue providing vital care to those living with life-limiting illnesses in North Yorkshire. Their generosity helps ensure we can keep supporting everyone who needs us.”
Each year, a member of the Green-tech team selects a charity for the company to support throughout the year. This has included Henshaws College, The Sick Children’s Trust, and Epilepsy Action.
Last year, it raised more than £30k in its ‘£30k for 30 Years’ anniversary campaign.
