The Society of Garden Designers (SGD) to launch new brand identity to βbetter reflectβ its members.
Set to take place tomorrow (7 February) at its annual awards ceremony, the launch will see the SGD rebranded to become the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers (SGLD).
The Society says the rebranding has been developed to better reflect the βdiverse and evolving natureβ of its members, as well as the size and scope of the projects being undertaken.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Andrew Duff MSGLD chair of the now SGLD says:
βThis momentous step forward for the Society reflects a collective vision by the SGLD and its members for inclusivity and modernity. The rebranding initiative represents more than just a change in name, it paves the way for a refreshed identity, complete with new typographical logos and a state-of-the-art website.β
Duff goes on to note that the rebrand coincides with what is a βsignificant period in the garden and landscape industry with horticulture and ecology coming together and the ongoing dialogue around it.β
As well as the development of its new brand identity, the SGLD has also refreshed its values around ideas of excellence, community, creativity and transparency to support its Mission to ‘inspire garden and landscape design that enriches homes, places and lives’.
The Mission Statement and supporting values can be found at sgld.org.uk/about.
Accompanying the new name and branding will be a new website, which will also be unveiled at the ceremony.
The SGLD Awards (formally the SGD Awards) will take place tomorrow (7 February) at The Landmark Hotel in London.
