Thought leaders and practitioners will share their expertise on applying nature-based solutions at a new conference taking place in May.
βThe Green Economy Under Our Feet – Towards a Green Britainβ will highlight emerging opportunities to incorporate carbon and ecological solutions into urban and landscape design.
Dr Bruno Marques, president of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and associate dean at Victoria University of Wellington, will open the conference and set the tone for the day.
Landscapers, garden designers, landscape architects, suppliers and others working in the environmental and landscaping industries are being invited to attend the event, which will provide eight hours of CPD.
Topics such as carbon sequestration, biodiversity net gain, mitigating climate change and ecological practices will be covered by speakers throughout the day.
The conference takes place on 7 May at the British Library Knowledge Centre in London and is dedicated to the late Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe.
