Lisa Young, formerly of Stark Group and Jewson, has been appointed the new managing director of Talasey.

The landscape solutions supplier describes the appointment as a ‘bold’ move, with Young stepping into a newly created role aimed at reinforcing the company’s senior leadership team.

With over 10 years of experience in the merchant industry, Young has previously held high ranking leadership roles at Jewson and Stark Group as commercial director and european group category director respectively.

Speaking on her new role, Young expresses admiration for Talasey’s approach to achieving “strong and sustained growth.”

In her new role, Young will oversee the day to day operations for the business, and will work closely with CEO and founder, Mark Wall in an effort to shape future progressive strategies for the company.

Wall says Young’s appointment marks a “significant step in strengthening our senior leadership team”, noting that her “extensive experience and strategic insight” will “enhance” Talasey’s operational capacity and “provide valuable support” as the company grows in the coming years.

Talasey celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and in the time since has appointed a new national sales director, and most recently launched its new collection of composite decking, which uses high-definition wood imaging.
