Voices from Nicoya is a new film from the Eden Project in partnership with the Costa Rica Tourist Board celebrating the success of an ambitious initiative launched to restore a vital biological corridor.
Set in Nicoya on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, the film creates a blueprint for regeneration in the countryβs highly endangered tropical dry forests.
βThe story shows natureβs astonishing ability to recover and how communities flourish when tourism, cacao and ecology thrive together. This is Edenβs spirit at its best: collaboration that fuels hope,β explains Andy Jasper, Eden Project chief executive.Β
Ahead of the educational charityβs 25th anniversary in 2026, the Eden Project plans to return its vast 100 hectares restoration landscape back to the people whose livelihoods rely on it.Β
Alongside the premier, the Rainforest Biome hosts exhibits that smell and feel like Costa Rica, featuring nature, culture and eco-tourism approaches.Β
Voices of Nicoya will premier at the Royal Society on 14 October, it will also be screened at the Eden Project in Cornwall and offered for free on YouTube.Β
