Local community groups, schools and charities could be in with a chance of winning up to £3,000 worth of garden materials.
Kebur Garden Materials is encouraging those across Surrey, North East Hampshire and South East Berkshire to enter its Community Project Awards to help improve their outdoor spaces.
One of last year’s winners, Cherrywood Community Primary School in Farnborough, has just had a new resin-bound surface installed as part of its new sensory garden transformation.
“This sensory garden will provide a safe and inclusive environment, particularly supporting children with autism, sensory processing needs, and any pupil who would benefit from a peaceful, nurturing outdoor space,” says Claire Hills, the school’s social emotional and mental health lead.
“Many of our children do not have access to such environments at home, so this garden will become a well-used, versatile area that enriches their daily school experience.”
The school received £1,500 worth of garden materials to help create the space. Artificial grass was originally planned for the area, but they were able to switch to a resin-bound surface from Addagrip, which provided discount materials. Local contractor Esme Garden Design and Landscaping also helped to deliver the project.
“We’re delighted to support such a worthwhile project. This installation is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when local businesses collaborate,” says Jo Holtom, business partner at Kebur Garden Materials.
The 2026 Kebur Community Project Awards are now open for applications until 1 May.
