Garden designer Ashleigh Aylett picks up Best All About Plants Garden with the Woodland Trust: Forgotten Forests Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026.

Built by CJ Landscapes, the garden has been sponsored by both Project Giving Back and the Woodland Trust as a means of shining a light of the UK’s ancient woodland.

Aylett had her debut at Chelsea last year with her award-winning Navium Marine: Blue Mind Garden. After picking up a Gold medal and Best Balcony/Container Garden during her first show, it’s no surprise she succeeds again this year.

These 2026 awards adds to her growing list of accolades, including RHS Gold, Best Construction and the title of RHS Young Designer of the Year at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park in 2024, for her The Woodland Trust: 49% Garden, and her 2023 win in the Pro Landscaper 30 Under 30 Awards.

Aylett takes to social media to share her delight:

“We’re delighted to have won Gold & Best in Category at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with our Woodland Trust Forgotten Forests Garden.

A huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing the project to life, it truly has been a wonderful team effort.”

Other gardens within the All About Plants category includes Christina Cobb’s, another 30 Under 30 alumni, Cleary Gottlieb: Time for Creativity, Melanie Hick’s The Bat conservation Trust’s Nocturnal Garden and The Plant Heritage Missing Collector Garden designed by Sally-Anne Rees, Kate Campbell and William Murray.

Adorned with planting supplied from Hortus Loci, Moss Clerks, Hillier Nurseries and Botanica Plant Nursery, the garden will be relocated to Hawthorn Primary School in Newcastle upon Tyne.
