The Pro Landscaper 30 Under 30: The Next Generation awards is looking to celebrate the breadth of emerging voices across the industry. Applicants have a chance of entering an already successful alumni, from business owners to RHS Chelsea Flower Show award winners.

Here is a list of top tips which can help your application stand out:

1. Focus on your achievements

Some applicants can fall into the trap of talking more broadly about the company’s or their team’s achievements without saying how they contributed to them. Make sure you tell us how you directly contributed to these achievements. 

2. Provide examples

Back up your achievements with examples and try to be specific with these. This makes the application more tangible. 

3. Career goals

Try to provide both short and long-term career goals and explain to us why you’re hoping to achieve this. It helps us to know your next steps in achieving these goals too. 

4. What would make the industry better?

For this question, think outside the box – and don’t be afraid to be niche. These suggestions can be specific to your role, sector or experiences rather than the industry as a whole. 

5. Showcase your passion

This is one of the key things we’re looking for. We want to read about your passion for the industry and that you see a career for yourself within it.
