Nelson Landscapes will be raising awareness of a men’s mental health service through its show garden at this year’s FutureScape in October.
The Surrey-based landscaping company will be creating The Serenity Show Garden, which managing director Harry Nelson has designed as a calm and restorative space, where nature and craftsmanship come together to create a sense of mental wellbeing.
It has partnered with SPEAK, which helps those in the construction industry address workforce pressure and organisational friction.
“The Serenity Show Garden is about creating a space where you can simply come as you are,” says SPEAK founder, Alfie Ruffell. “Nature has an incredible ability to help us slow down, reset and reconnect, whether that’s taking five, having a chat with a mate or just having a moment to yourself. We want it to feel welcoming, relaxed and full of our SPEAK energy, with good music playing a part – we can’t wait to share more on who soon.
“Looking after yourself doesn’t have to feel clinical or heavy. Sometimes it’s just about good people, good conversation, good energy and having the right space to stop for a bit.”
Through considered planting and the use of natural materials, Nelson Landscapes will be creating an area on the show floor where visitors can pause and find a moment for reflection.
“We’ve been working on building something a little different with SPEAK and FutureScape, and we’re really excited to finally share it. Serenity brings together what we love about creating beautiful outdoor spaces with the difference those spaces can make to how you feel,” says Nelson.
“There’s plenty of work ahead between now and October, and we can’t wait to take people behind the scenes as we bring the garden to life at FutureScape.”
The design, along with further details about the partners and activities taking place on The Serenity Show Garden, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
In its fifteenth year, FutureScape will be taking place at a new venue, Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, on 13-14 October 2026. Register for your free ticket now.
