Wyevale Nurseries has announced the appointment of David Williams as its new production development manager as part of the company’s investment in future growth and innovation.
The newly created role will support the nursery’s growing operations, sustainable production techniques and long-term development.
Andy Johnson, managing director of Wyevale Nurseries, comments on the announcement:
“This new appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to developing the business, enhancing our growing operations and ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers. It will also allow me to spend more time working alongside our sales, trading and despatch teams as we move the business forward.β
Williams will work alongside the heads of all divisions to identify technical challenges and opportunities across production, helping to evolve growing techniques and plant ranges in response to climate change.
With horticultural experience, Williams joins Wyevale after acting as container unit manager at Frank P Matthews, on top of other roles across Dingle Nurseries, Deepdale Trees and Lambs Flowers. He comments:
“Iβm delighted to be joining Wyevale Nurseries at such an exciting time for the business. It has an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, and Iβm looking forward to working with colleagues across the company to help develop production systems, share best practice and support future growth.β
