Horticulture and landscape maintenance business Nurture Landscapes has been awarded the coveted Silver accreditation from Investors in People (IIP) on its first attempt.
The application for IIP status involved a detailed planning session with the assessor followed by interviews with Nurture staff to gather a thorough impression of the business, from gardeners to directors.
Fifty-five members of staff were interviewed across the Windlesham head office, Rishton and Kilmarnock during December and January.
The results of these interviews revealed that employees enjoy working at Nurture, have a passion for the job and the company, and embrace the core values of the business; passionate, professional, customer-focused, quality-driven, with a commitment to the environmental and gardeners who care.
Silver accreditation is achieved by relatively few landscape maintenance companies and lasts for three years. The IIP Standard creates a roadmap for continuous improvement so that the potential of each and every one of Nurture’s employees can be maximised.
Paul Ellis, Nurture’s quality and environmental manager, commented: “We’re delighted to have reached Silver at our first attempt and thank everyone involved. We are a young and growing business and will be aiming to get Gold within the year.”
