Alitex greenhouses – designers and manufacturers of some of the finest glasshouses – has recently replaced a greenhouse in the shopping and café area of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
The Kew gardens shop team was looking to have a beautiful area in which to display their plants and gardening items for sale. Alitex, fitted their requirements perfectly with their Victorian style structures echoing Kew’s own historic designs.
Measuring 2.6m by 3m, the greenhouse, which was originally exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017, features two doors on either gable, allowing for ease of access for all visitors to the shop, maximising benching options on both sides.
Approaching the gift shop and cafe, the greenhouse can be seen from afar, powder-coated in an increasingly popular dark bronze colour, with beautiful traditional Victorian design and ornate cresting details that have earned Alitex professional recommendations from horticultural experts and garden designers around the world.
Alitex and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew have worked together for over 15 years. In 2012, after careful selection criteria, Alitex were chosen by Kew as their preferred glasshouse company. This means that Kew, the leading experts, recognise Alitex for their superiority; offering the finest looking Victorian greenhouses and the best possible growing environment.
