APL to host trio of RHS designers at the Eden Project

by | 28 Feb 24 | Garden Design, News

The Association of Professional of Landscapers (APL) is hosting a networking event at the Eden Project, featuring talks from industry suppliers and a trifecta of RHS Chelsea designers.

In support of the landscape community, the APL hosts regular networking events across the country. One such event is taking place this Friday (1 March) at the Eden Project in Cornwall, beginning at 11am with welcome drinks in the project’s nursery rooms, with a tour of the rooms and demos to follow.

A further tour of the Eden Project will take place after lunch, hosted by suppliers Landscapeplus and Makita. The Eden Project will follow this with a seminar on its current sustainability and biodiversity efforts, with insight into its plans for the future.

After dinner, the APL’s general manager, Phil Tremayne, will be hosting a talk with RHS Chelsea designers: Jilayne Rickards, designer the Fauna & Flora Garden; Darren Hawkes, designer of the Samaritans Listening Garden; and Mark Gregory, designer of The Savills Garden.

The talk looks to centre around the trio’s career trajectory, plans for the future and their opinion on the current state of the industry.

The event is free for all APL members, and £25 for all non-members. All interested parties should email phil.tremayne@hta.org.uk.
