Barcham Trees had been immensely looking forward to welcoming hundreds to the nursery and hosting an enjoyable, memorable event for the industry. However, due to recent events regarding the COVID-19 virus, the team have had to look long and hard at the implications of going ahead with the Big Barn Conference. It is with considerable regret, the Barcham Trees team have decided to cancel the event, scheduled to be held June 17 2020.
We are all aware of the uncertainty surrounding the future and the many unknowns surrounding COVID-19 and its spread. It is impossible to forecast its development accurately and the sanitation/quarantine measures which may be in place in June.
As things are developing at such a rate, the team felt it would be irresponsible for the team to not make the decision now and to have gone ahead with the event.
With such an international line up of speakers and attraction to the event spreading to delegates across Europe, Barcham felt they could not ignore the potential implications for the health of speakers, delegates and employees at Barcham.
Their intentions is to postpone the event for this year, revisiting in June 2021, with the hope that normality will have resumed. Unfortunately, those who have already registered will have to re-register for the event.
Keith Sacre, sales director at Barcham Trees commented:
“We are sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment that this may cause, but hope you understand that this decision has not been taken lightly.”
If you have registered for tickets this year, you will be added to a list to receive the latest updates regarding the 2021 show.
