Brambledown Landscapes and local school help improve Stockton estate

Brambledown Landscapes were appointed as main contractors at Portrack Estate in Stockton.

They contract was for £100k of environmental improvement works in the estate. It also included improvements to the outside of shopfronts.
The project overseen by Groundwork North East took around 3 months to complete.
The scheme involved steel fencing and chicanes to prevent motorcycles from using footpaths. Hedge planting and tree and shrub planting was also included.
Improving the outlook of large parts of the Portrack Estate was the sole focus of the project. Community engagement was high on the agenda.
Pupils from Tilery Primary School designed a piece of feature artwork for the Estate. This week saw the completed sculpture unveiled in a grand opening presentation.
Brambledown Contracts Manager Thomas Curry said “This has been an enjoyable scheme to be a part of. To see the vast environmental improvements that we have made has been superb. It was great having the local school involved too.”
