Tayshan Hayden-Smith has today launched a new online course to educate and inspire people to transform community spaces.

The community gardener and founder of Grow2Know has created the course with Annabel Kindersley, the co-owner of beauty retailer Neal’s Yard Remedies, for charity platform Earthed. INeal’s Yard Remedies created its first certified organic skincare line in 1991 and has since been an advocate for biodiversity.

‘Activating your Activism: Planting the Seeds of Change’ is a 60-minute course to inspire people to reconnect with their community and the outdoor world. There are six modules focusing on the three pillars of community, place and purpose.

The course was filmed at Meanwhile Gardens in West London and reflects on RHS ambassador Hayden-Smith’s own transition into guerrilla gardening in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire. He has previously spoken in parliament about the need for gardening to be more accessible.
