Don’t miss Mark Gregory, Norman Hambrook and Charles Benton at FutureScape 2015

The Beauty is in the Build is back again at this year’s FutureScape. Two experienced landscapers and a businessman take part in the lively discussion on the state of the construction side of the landscape industry. This year, managing directors Norman Hambrook, Mark Gregory and Charles Benton will be in the hot seat ready to answer the audience’s questions. It all kicks off on Tuesday, November 17th 2015 at Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey, at 10am in Room 1.

Below are the panellists taking part in this year’s Beauty is in the Build:

Norman Hambrook is the managing director of Hambrook Landscapes which he began in April 1970. He is a founding member of the APL and has been an active member of BALI since 1979. He has also served on the Horticultural Trade Association (HTA) National Council and received a Landscape and Amenity Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He started his business with just a spade and fork but by 1976, he had bought a piece of land with run-down greenhouses in Titchfield, which is now a garden landscaping centre. He extended the business further in 1983 and bought the land and wholesale nursery in Curdridge which is now the Hambrooks head office. Hambrooks now employs more than 80 staff and has won over 60 national industry awards.

Mark Gregory is the managing director of Landform Consultants. He is a 20-time gold medal winner at the Chelsea Flower Show and has won numerous industry awards for projects in London and the South East. He has a reputation for innovation and technical expertise within the landscaping community as a result of his dynamic approach, energy and experience. He is incredibly active in the landscaping and horticultural industries as well as heading up Landform Consultants. He lectures all over the country delivering workshops and seminars for the Society of Garden Designers (SGD), BALI and APL and is regularly consulted by other designers and contractors. Mark has also been a board member of BALI, is chair of the APL and was recently appointed as a director of the HTA. Also a regular RHS judge and assessor, Mark is a former member of the Chelsea Gardens panel.

Charles Benton is the managing director of Benton Landscapes which he set up at the age of 22. He has a life-long love of the outdoors and his self-built business is a dream turned into reality. He began in the rose fields of Kent at 16 where he was budding and grafting roses and worked in a nursery on the weekends. In his business, he takes great pride in both the quality and detail of workmanship, aiming consistently to deliver the very highest quality service to every single one of his clients. Charles recently appeared on ITV’s This Morning where he created five small themed gardens with his brother. He also created the Ideal Home Show’s Main Show Garden for its Manchester Show 2014.
