Organic compost producer, Earth Cycle has launched two new landscaping soils as part of its organic, peat-free range.
The firm’s new Subsoil is certified to BS8601:2013 specification and is also NHBC compliant. The Subsoil meets the necessary requirements for drainage, water storage and anchorage. This is due to its sandy-clay compositions. It also complements their popular BS3882 Topsoil.
Earth Cycle developed its new Wildflower Topsoil to address the growing need to support the environment. Certified to the BS3882:2015 specification for low fertility. The sandy loam topsoil includes Earth Cycle’s PAS100 compost to provide a low level of nutrients to help wildflowers flourish.
Earth Cycle Manager Mike Jupp said, “We created our new landscaping products due to the demand from our customers. We work closely with our clients and realised the growing need to expand our range of British Standard certified soils. To provide a complementary product range to cater for the needs of our trade customers.”
By offering an end-to-end range of certified soils, Earth Cycle aim to help their trade customers adhere to the stringent groundwork requirements of local councils. Supplying NHBC compliant soils ensures any unnecessary and costly post-inspection groundworks don’t happen.
Both products sit within the broad portfolio of Earth Cycle’s peat free range of products. This includes soil conditioner, top soil, turf dressing, bark, and cow compost.
