Entries for the Beautiful Borders at BBC Gardeners’ World (BBCGW) Events 2024 are now open, events include BBCGW Live at the NEC Birmingham, the Spring Fair at Beaulieu, and the Autumn Fair at Audley End House and Gardens.
Applications are open to all, regardless of experience level, from experienced to first-time garden designers. Gardening clubs, students and charities are also encouraged to enter.
This years’ theme for all three events is ‘Share My Space’, applicants will be required to show the potential of small garden spaces and the ability to build a sense of community and togetherness through gardening, in a 9m2 mini garden.
Lucy Tremlett, head of horticultural division at Immediate Live, organisers of BBCGW events, says: “The Beautiful Borders are miniature masterpieces, demonstrating that size is no barrier to beauty or functionality.
“No matter what size, gardens are spaces where we can come together, learn from one another, and cultivate a shared green oasis.”
Applicants will have the opportunity to win medals, and headline awards for Best Beautiful Border, Best Interpretation of the Theme, Best Subscriber Border for the best design by a subscriber to BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, and Peoples’ Choice.
New for 2024, entrants will also have the opportunity to apply for a £200 bursary. Grants will be limited, with 25 bursaries to be awarded for BBCGW Live and 12 for each of the Spring and Autumn Fairs.
Applications for BBC Gardener’s World Live and the Spring Fair close on 23 January 2024, while applications for the Autumn Fair close on 2 May 2024.
