General Manager: The Landscape Group, East Staffordshire

The services we provide include grounds maintenance in high profile parks and diverse open spaces, streetscene services and arboricultural works.  We have a portfolio of exciting and successful projects such as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a ground breaking shared services contract with three organisations on the South East Coast and are delighted to add the Warwick District Council grounds maintenance contract to our portfolio. Job Title: General Manager

Location: East Staffordshire, various*

Salary: Dependent on skills and competences, includes benefits package.

For this new post, we are looking for a dynamic General Manager to be part of The Landscape Group team and be responsible for our East Staffordshire Borough Council contract and oversee our Trent & Dove Housing and Cannock Chase District Council contracts. The role is based at our Burton-upon-Trent depot and reports directly to the Assistant Operations Director.

This role will require a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills to develop these contracts to deliver excellent levels of grounds maintenance performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing multi-site service provision; experience of grounds maintenance, landscaping services, construction project management, asset management, facilities management and or similar would be advantageous but not essential.

The role will have overall management responsibility for the contracts; acting as the main point of contact for senior client officers so demonstrable experience in managing successful relationships is key to this role. Day to day responsibilities will include operational delivery according to specification, financial/budgetary control, and Health & Safety compliance. You will need a proven track record of success in these areas, as well as being a proficient user in MS Packages. You will need to be a skilled manager and inspiring leader with the ability to motivate and coach a large team to be as passionate about their work as you are.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a senior management team.
