Griffin Glasshouses gives record donation to National Garden Scheme

by | 13 Jun 24 | Domestic Landscaping, Garden Design, Supplier News

Griffin Glasshouses makes its largest donation to the National Garden Scheme off the back of its 2023 sales.

The £35,620 donation marks the largest annual contribution made by Griffin to the charity to date, since the pair’s partnership began in 2013.

For every glasshouse sold in the National Garden Scheme collection, Griffin donates 5% of the sale to the charity.

“The ongoing and significant contributions continue to help increase the support we are able to provide to our beneficiary charities,” says National Garden Scheme CEO, George Plumptre.

The cheque presentation was made on the charity’s show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show by Linda Lane, manager director of Griffin Glasshouses to National Garden Scheme chairman, Rupert Tyler and Tom Stuart-Smith – the two designers behind the charity’s RHS Chelsea show garden.

The garden went on to take home a gold medal, and was one of the final gardens to be built by Crocus at RHS Chelsea.

Griffin Glasshouses can be seen in several National Garden Scheme gardens, including Bere Mill, Hampshire.

The Rosemary greenhouse from the National Garden Scheme collection can also be found in Serendi, Hertfordshire and Heathside, Surrey.
