Certified Soils and Sands
Soil has always been at the heart of everything the Stone Zone do, with their team having a combined experience of 70 years in the Landscaping Trade.
Wessex® BS3882 Certified Soil
Their Wessex® BS3882 Certified 10mm Soil is their best-seller, which is mixed with many of their blends of Soil, along with PAS 100 Green Organic Compost to create a nutrient-rich, peat-free soil blend for a range of different planting mediums.
This is tested regularly with a certification available upon request.
Lightweight Rooftop LECA Soil
One of their most popular, bespoke-blended soils is their Lightweight Rooftop LECA Soil. This is designed with rooftop planting in urban areas in mind. Years of research has gone into this loamy soil, with its composition being made up of screened, sandy loam soil, coconut husk coir, PAS 100 Green Compost and LECA 4-10mm
Wessex® Dutch Tree Sand
Their next, popular purpose-blended Soil is their Wessex® Dutch Tree Sand. Also referred to as Amsterdam Tree Sand, this sandy Soil has been created for the rise of Urban Tree Planting in built-up cities.
Wessex® Dutch Sand is made from local graded Silica Sands and PAS 100 Green Organic Compost. The particle size is 10mm with a PH level between 8 – 8.5. While allowing tree pits to remain free draining, this loamy Soil can also maintain heavy footfall and vehicle movements without compacting.
If you manage the maintenance of professional golf courses, the Stone Zone’s Bunker Sand is a great option for golf bunkers. This sand is consistent in particle size and has been finely screened to remove any unwanted pieces of debris.
