Landscapeplus raising money for “much loved” team member following cancer treatment

by | 14 Mar 24 | Supplier News

Landscapeplus is raising money for a member of its team after their “life was turned upside down” from a cancer diagnosis.

Just 18 months ago warehouse manager Jake Boulton was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma; a cancerous brain tumour that spreads through the cerebrospinal fluid.

He underwent a 13 hour surgery at John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford, where he was required to stay post-op for 111 days.

Now Boulton’s radiotherapy and chemotherapy have finished, he is working to regain his mobility and independence through hydrotherapy sessions.

On 26 May, the team at Landscapeplus plan to run a combined 52 miles in three hours in an effort to raise enough funds for Boulton to take additional hydrotherapy sessions over the next 52 weeks.

Landscapeplus director Sam Cox, who organised the fundraiser, says Boulton is a “much loved” member of the team, and the money raised will go towards helping Boulton “get back home to his 10 month old daughter and start a new chapter in his life.”
