Landscapeplus has revealed its new branding today at FutureScape 2023. The trade-only, Wiltshire-based company has undergone a three-year process to enhance its culture, vision and branding since celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2020.
The result is a new logo – which still uses the recognisable magenta for which Landscapeplus has become known for – as well as a new ‘Knowledge Centre’ within the website that helps to highlight the services Landscapeplus offers alongside its product range.
“We saw turning 20 as a milestone and an opportunity to take a step back and look at how far we’d come but also how we wanted to move forward,” says director Sam Cox. “It’s too easy as a business, when you’re in the midst of it, to carry on doing what you’re doing and only make small tweaks.”
The team has looked at the whole business – such as warehouse, ordering and service – but also at its culture. “A team of five of us from different areas of the business went on a journey with brand consultants which latest around 18 months. Hundreds of our customers were reached out to with a survey to find out their view, which was really enlightening; the consultant who carried out the survey said that our net promoter score – or how likely people were to recommend to a fellow professional – was 98, on a scale from –100 to 100, which was the highest score that she’d seen.”
Cox says it encouraged them to look at what makes Landscapeplus unique and to portray itself as ‘so much more than a supplier’ and to promote other aspects of the business outside of its systems, such as its customer service, training days, design support and the recently launched Knowledge Centre.
The rebranding process has come at a time where they are partnering with large global brands such as Aquascape and in-lite which are like-minded companies and aligned with Landscapeplus, adds Cox. Redesigning the logo was the final part of the rebranding. Its previous logo was “hand drawn over 20 years ago and hasn’t changed since”.
The Knowledge Centre is now live, with a section devoted to case studies, inspirational content, how-to guides, videos and training. “We’re putting the focus on how we help professionals to develop their confidence and their skills when they’re specifying or installing lighting, irrigation and water features – that’s the focal point of the business moving forward.”
