    Langdale Landscapes wins Association of Professional Landscapers Awards

    Kent-based landscape gardening firm, Langdale Landscapes, i s
    delighted to announce that its Redlands Road garden has won the
    overall award for best project £60-100,000 in the prestigious 2018
    Association of Professional Landscapers Awards (APL Awards),
    announced at an awards ceremony at The Brewery in London on Friday
    16 March.

    The Redlands Road garden was created by renowned landscape designer
    Mandy Buckland from Greencube Design to reflect the interior style of
    the house which had recently had a major refurbishment. The clients’
    brief was to create a garden that was contemporary but still inviting. A
    series of terraces was dug which required a huge amount of soil to be
    removed – a challenge given the restricted access to the site.
    According to the judges, ‘Redlands Road is an attractive and pleasing
    garden built to an extremely high standard and with great attention to

    Langdale Landscapes also scooped up three gold medals in the
    fol lowing categories:

    Project Value £60-100,000, Plaxtol Garden designed by Nic Howard

    Project Value Over £200,000, Coldrum House designed by Mandy

    Buckland, Greencube Design

    Soft Landscaping, Plaxtol Garden designed by Nic Howard

    Langdale Landscapes and Nic Howard have collaborated on a number of
    gardens, including two at Chelsea Flower Show which have won best in
    show for the trade gardens. They are working together again this year
    to design and build a garden for sponsors artist David Harber and real
    estate services provide Savills.

    Langdale Landscapes is based in Edenbridge, Kent and has established
    a reputation over the past 20 years for constructing bespoke gardens in
    Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London often working with some of the
    country’s leading garden designers.

    Since 1995, the APL Awards have been recognising and rewarding the
    high standards of landscape contracting carried out by its members.
    There were a record breaking number of entries for the 2018 Awards
    and the shortlist was drawn up by a panel of five judges with industry
    expert Richard Barnard acting as chief judge.
