Legacy Edging to suit any landscape

Legacy Edging, as part of the Traditional Company, deliver first class service nationwide with its wide range of Legacy Steel Edging.

Coming in a range of thicknesses, heights and finishes, Legacy Edging covers all edging requirements. The products are favourites with landscape architects and designers who fully understand the benefits of solid steel edging.

Legacy 3 is the Traditional Company’s lightest steel edging, at just 3mm thick. This strong edging is made from solid UK steel and can be bent on-site to follow curves with radiuses down to 1m. Perfect for intricate flower beds and garden borders creating a clean and neat separation.

However, if you are needing something a little more formal, Legacy 5 is the more suitable option. As the company’s most popular steel edging, Legacy 5 is 5mm thick and is ideal for formal borders, pathways and driveways, creating a clean division. This robust, substantial edging is made from solid UK steel and can be bent to radiuses of 5m on site. This will handle the pressure of garden machinery and vehicles.

The edging has no overlaps and forms a clean, continuous edging, with all connecting pins hidden lawn side, it is recommended that half of the edging is below ground. Offered in a range of heights to suit all applications, with 150mm being the most popular with landscape gardeners and installers.

Legacy 6, at 6mm thick, is the strongest available steel edging. It is suitable for high traffic areas including driveways. This solid UK steel edging can only be bent to radiuses of 8m on-site, Legacy Edging has a full bending service available if required.

As the company’s Legacy Edging has grown in demand, it has become a specified product used by architects and landscapers across the UK as it provides a great practical and hardwearing solution for landscaping needs.

The Traditional Company were delighted to be asked by Cameron Wilson at Rosebank Landscaping to collaborate and supply the edging for their project, Chelsea Pensioners Garden at the Royal Chelsea Hospital, due to be completed in July 2021. The project overhauled the communal gardens to create a wellbeing space for residents, carers and families.

Dene Hackner, Rosebank Landscaping’s contract manager, said: “Legacy Edging has become our go-to product. The consistency of finish, clean and discreet fixing detail, and efficiency of installation makes it a big win with our site teams and designers alike.”

The various lengths and pre-made angles available in the Legacy Edging allow large curves, right angles and complex shapes to be seamlessly created with ease.”

Legacy Edging has also developed more in their range of material edging, offering corten steel and stainless-steel edging too.

Corten steel became an absolute must have for many landscapers over recent years after the Chelsea Flower Show helped bring the material to stage. Working as a hard-wearing metal, it is the perfect option for traditional or modern garden as it is attractive, blending in nicely with both natural and manmade materials.

Alternatively, the versatile stainless-steel edging is ideal for driveways, paths, flower beds and gardens. Designed for longevity, this style of edging stays firmly in place over time, whether you opt for straight lines or gentle curves. The stainless finish protects against weathering, providing a stylish look that lasts and can withstand garden machinery.

Whether you are creating a traditional garden or creating a more modern design, Legacy Edging is an easy way to make sure your landscaping looks great for years to come.
