miNiATURE ,the new garden show created to provide a platform for new garden design ideas, has announced that there will be a ‘People’s Choice’ voted for by everyone who visits the show in support of Streetscape, the social enterprise training young people in landscape apprenticeships.
Co-curator Andrew Fisher Tomlin said “It’s important to us that the show supports the garden industry and Streetscape is an excellent way of doing this.” Inspired by the way that retailers enable their customers to vote funds for community projects every £1 represents a vote for a garden and every pound raised will go to Streetscape.
Streetscape is an award winning social enterprise. They provide apprenticeships in landscape gardening to 18-25 year olds who are long-term unemployed, helping them to build the skills, experience and attributes they need to fulfil their dreams and move into and retain work: growing lives, transforming landscapes.
The miNiATURE garden show opens on Thursday 6 March for just three days. Fisher Tomlin said “We have had amazing support especially our sponsors who are all very active in the industry and with free entry we are confident that it will be very busy. We are now busy finishing all the models ready for installation next week.”
