National Garden Scheme launches 2021 online garden events

Following the success of the charity’s online events in 2020, the National Garden Scheme is kicking off the new gardening year with a series of online talks and events. Bringing the best of gardens, garden owners and experts together to share their insights and passion for gardens and gardening, the digital events series will continue throughout the year.

“The importance of gardens and gardening for our health and wellbeing came to the fore in 2020 and, as the uncertainty is set to continue, we’re supplementing our hugely popular garden visits with a series of informative talks and events that will appeal to a wide audience,” says CEO, George Plumptre who kicks off the current series on Tuesday 2 February.

Planned events include:

Goodnestone, the story of a garden – live online talk with George Plumptre – Tuesday 2 February, 7pm

My Garden Journey – Ordnance House, Wiltshire – live online talk with Terry Winters – Tuesday 16 February 7pm

Triumphant tulips – Live online talk with Philippa Burrough at Ulting Wick – Tuesday 30 March 7pm

With more events lined up for March 2 and 16 (currently being finalised) and more to come for the year ahead keep an eye on the National Garden Scheme website for details.

All proceeds from ticket sales will help provide funding for the vital nursing and health charities supported by the National Garden Scheme including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carers Trust, the Queen’s Nursing Institute and Parkinson’s UK.
