National landscaping award success for Landform Consultants

Surrey based landscaping consultancy, Landform have been awarded a top accolade at the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards 2016, sponsored by Bradstone.

The company were awarded for their work on a project for a small family garden in South London. Designed by Robert Myers, with Landform Foreman, Ed Verity overseeing the build, the garden included a seating area with contemporary water feature and a sunken sand pit for the young family to enjoy.

Foreman of the project, Ed Verity said: “This was a great project to work on and we’re so pleased to have been honoured with this award. To have been shortlisted was an honour it itself as the others in the category are all people we admire. At the end of the day though the most important thing is that the family love the space that we’ve created.”

Ed Verity was recognised as one of Pro Landscaper’s 30 under 30 last year.

The winners, announced at awards event held at The Brewery in London on Friday 4 March 2016, gained national recognition for their achievements and are testament to the high calibre landscaping offered by APL members.

Mark Gregory, CEO of Landform Consultants said: “Joel and Ed worked incredibly hard on this project and I’m really pleased that their achievements have been recognised. It’s a an honour to have just been nominated, let alone win.”

The awards, now in their 20th year, recognise and promote the very best in landscaping undertaken by APL members in categories that range from smaller projects, special features and soft landscaping to contracts of over £250,000. The awards are a celebration of the high standards that have been achieved by members and demonstrate the APL’s commitment to quality landscaping.

This year’s judges were Richard Barnard from Hillier Landscapes (Chair), Chris Young, RHS editor of The Garden Magazine, Steve Shore from Shore Landscapes , Bob Sweet – ex RHS head of Garden Judging, Robin Templar Williams from Robin Williams and Associates and Phil Tremayne – APL national account manager.

The Association of Professional Landscapers comprises accredited landscape companies who design, build and maintain gardens throughout the UK. The APL is the only landscaping scheme operator of Trustmark, a Government endorsed initiative that promotes professional trades to consumers.
