New subscription bulb service launches with Jo Thompson

Garden designer Nina Baxter has launched a new, subscription-based concept in conjunction with multi-award-winning design Jo Thompson. Colour My Garden offers a bespoke, year-round bulb design and supply scheme to gardeners.

Jo Thompson will create a tailored design for everyone who signs up for a subscription. Special selections of bulbs will be delivered to each customer throughout the year, at the right time for planting, along with expert tips and guidance.

On the launch of the company, Jo Thompson says: “Getting year-round colour and interest into the garden is one of the top requests I get as a garden designer. Colour My Garden is addressing this issue and making it easy for people to give a boost to their borders. Bulbs are a great way to do this but are often overlooked.

“Many people use annuals or bedding to add colour to the garden, but these only cover the summer season. Using bulbs and treating them as annuals means we can extend the season of interest and each year you can have a gloriously different effect. I’m really excited to be a part of this new scheme and hope I can help people to love and appreciate the joy bulbs can bring.”

Colour My Garden director, Nina Baxter says: “I am thrilled to be able to give people a little bit of Jo Thompson design magic for their gardens. Jo is renowned for her sumptuous use of colour combinations in the gardens she creates. Her understanding of colour is extraordinary, taking palettes that you are taught to believe wouldn’t work and blending them into the most incredible kaleidoscopes that bring enormous joy.

“Many people find making bulb choices stressful and there can be a bewildering range on offer. Customers will know that they are getting selections that will work both for their garden settings as well as their individual preferences.”
