Commercial Design under £500k

Using the knowledge gained from the 2019 ceremony, we have decided to split this category into two based on project budget. For this category, we are looking for a project with a total budget of under £500k that can show excellent core design skills matching the client brief, an effective use of products and plants and there must be a good example of communication with both the client and contractor.

Commercial Design over £500k

In this second commercial design category, we are looking for a project with a total budget of over £500k. It needs to show excellent core design skills matching the client brief and an effective use of projects and plants. The project must also demonstrate good communication with both the client and the contractor.

Commercial Build under £500k

Split into two categories for 2020, the project should have a budget of under £500k and should show excellent core skills, a lovely finish, an innovative use of logistics and an effective use of products. The project will demonstrate quality and technical ability, will match the customer brief and will have been completed on time and as detailed.

Commercial Build over £500k

The project for this category should have a budget of over £500k. It should show excellent core skills, a lovely finish, an innovative use of logistics and an effective use of products. The project will demonstrate quality and technical ability, will match the customer brief and will have been completed on time and as detailed.

 

Domestic Design

The project should show excellent core design skills matching the client brief, an effective use of products and plants and there must be a good example of communication with both the client and contractor.

Domestic Build

The project should show excellent core skills, a lovely finish, an innovative use of logistics and an effective use of products. The project will demonstrate quality and technical ability, will match the customer brief and will have been completed on time and as detailed.

Outstanding Podium Products

This is a category for a product or a service that has helped revolutionise the rooftop garden sector. It needs to have solved a problem, created an opportunity, have had a major impact on the look/design or have helped the contractor with the installation.

Planting Design

This category is for projects that can demonstrate a clear and thought-out planting scheme which has taken into consideration a rooftop climate and has year-round interest. Judges may also be looking at ease of maintenance and the client’s specifications, determining whether these were met.
