The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Kate visited the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.
Crowds gathered at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay on Wednesday to greet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The royal couple shook hands with people before touring the air-conditioned Cloud Forest at the Gardens, which contains plant life from mountainous regions.
Singapore residents were delighted to get an opportunity to see the British royals.
“It was quite a crazy crowd but yes, it’s a nice experience to see them up close. They were really very nice. They were taking to all the kids in front of me. They were being very sweet,” Liesel Chong said.
“Yes they were really very nice. But I must say I feel for them in the Singapore heat, with the suit and long sleeves and all,” Elise Chong added.
The young royals’ Asia Pacific tour is part of celebrations marking the 60-year reign of the Queen.
Prince William and Kate will leave the island state on Thursday to Malaysia before heading to the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
