Provender Nurseries supplies three gardens at Hampton Court Flower Show this year with award winning plants.
Two of the three gardens supplied are in categories that are judged while the third is sponsored by the RHS and as such is not judged.
Best of Both Worlds built and planted by BALI Go Landscape apprentices, trainees and BALI Go Landscape mentors achieved a Gold medal. Designed by Rosemary Coldstream of Rosemary Coldstream Garden Design and mentored by by BALI Go Landscape Ambassadors, David Dodd and Mark Britton of The Outdoor Room, Jake Catling of The Landscaping Consultants and Anna Butterfield of Gardens By Anna Butterfield the participating students worked hard and fully deserve the Gold medal awarded.
Apeiron: The Dibond Garden won the only Silver Gilt medal awarded in the Conceptual Gardens category. Designed by Alex Rainford-Roberts of Alex Rainford-Roberts Garden and Landscape Design, Apeiron featured plants selected at Provender Nurseries and aims to create an experience for all visitors that can be shared via Instagram. The design incorporates a meadow within a mirrored enclosure to give the illusion of a larger landscape all of which is enclosed in a corten steel box.
RHS Grow Your Own with the Raymond Blanc Gardening School at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2018 is sponsored by the RHS and jointly designed by Ali Dempster of Sandstone Design and Planting Designer and Senior Horticulturist Rossana Porta both regular customers here at Provender Nurseries.
A wide range of plants from large specimen, slightly more unusual Ginkgo biloba ‘Mariken’, Broussonetia papyrifera, Cercis Canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’ to good reliable stock plants; Buddleja, floriferous Erigeron karvinskianus, Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Cratus’ and ‘Golf Ball’, good old Pachysandra terminalis and to the perennial favourite Alchemilla mollis were selected by the designers for use across the gardens and go to show that a great range of award winning plants can be found at Provender Nurseries.
