Rooftop terraces on £6m homes gain top landscaping award

The penthouse roof terraces at the Chelsea Creek development by St George, have been awarded a BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) National Landscape Award for Garden design.

The annual awards ceremony is a prestigious honour to win, recognising those who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill.

St George commissioned professional landscape design and build company Aralia to design a series of seven penthouse roof terraces for the £6m apartments at Chelsea Creek. After three years of hard work, the terraces have now been completed and subsequently celebrated with a BALI Design Excellence Award.

Michael Bryn-Jones, St George managing director, said: “We are excited by the BALI Design Excellence Award, which is a mark of the high standard of design that Aralia has implemented at Chelsea Creek. Aralia has created terraces which are the epitome of innovation and luxury, as part of our Penthouse Collection.

“With the penthouses due for completion in the coming months, it is great to see that the designs are creating such a well-deserved buzz for their high standard and creativity.”

And Patricia Fox, from Aralia, said: “We have really enjoyed working on this project, which has allowed us to incorporate hard landscaping detail and zones within the terraces to create different spaces for different activities. We hope that the purchasers of the penthouses will enjoy these outdoor entertaining spaces to the full.”

The terraces include extensive green walls, outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces, bespoke commissioned artworks and water features.
