The SGD Spring Conference will be available via live-streaming and on-demand for the first time on 27th April 2019. Allowing the Society of Garden Designers to open its bi-annual conference out to a national and international audience and share the experience with as many people as possible.
Taking place in London, the conference will feature a first-class line-up of speakers from the worlds of garden design, research and horticulture. They will explore the topic: ‘Sex in the Garden – flowers, fruit & foraging’.
There is a choice to watch it individually or in groups for a discounted rate. Subscribers will have access to the conference footage for a period of 12-months. Recorded sessions will also be available to download via an on-demand archive after the event.
Craig Moyes, Chief Operating Officer at the Society of Garden Designers said:
”We’re delighted to be able to bring the SGD conference to a wider audience via a live-feed and on-demand service for the first time this year. It allows members who are unable to make the journey to London or for whom the date poses a challenge, the opportunity to share in the experience and benefit from the valuable content that the conferences offer. Every year there are people who want to come along but who can’t make it, so to be able to expand our audience in this way and give more people the opportunity to listen in to our incredible speakers is really exciting”.
Speakers at the conference will include fragrance & sensory research scientist Emma Desmier, French ecologist and nurseryman Olivier Filippi, naturalistic garden designer Noel Kingsbury, world-renowned rose expert Michael Marriot, Henrik Sjöman, scientific curator of the Gothenburg Botanical Garden, and the inspirational garden leaders behind West Dean Gardens, Jim Buckland & Sarah Wain.
Subscription to the live-stream is via the SGD website. Prices start from £60 (inc VAT) for group bookings or £95 (inc. VAT) for an individual booking.
